I'm so worried! Please last chance!

Although the decisions are coming out next week, I wanted to see what other people thought of my chances of getting into

Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell, UPenn, USC, Princeton, Stanford, and Johns Hopkins.

So…

Our school doesn’t have a rank, but I am in top 2-3%.
My GPA: 4.3 (weighted)
3.7 (unweighted)
Have taken
6 honors classes, 6 AP classes, and one community college class for extra science course (physics).

I took 3 of the AP classes last year (junior year) and I got
AP Biology: 5
AP Calculus AB: 4
AP US History: 3 (yeah… I know this one is bad… )

My school doesn’t offer AP classes until junior year, and the maximum number of honors classes you can take in Freshman and Sophomore years are total 2 classes. So I don’t really have many APs if excluding senior year.

SAT: Critical Reading- 580 (i’m an international student… this score is really sad… I’m worried…)
Math-690
Writing-770
Total-2030

SAT IIs: Korean-800
math-720
Bio-680

School Activities (EC):
California Scholarship Federation-4 years/President now
Speech and Debate-3 years/ captain for 2 years
korean club-president at another school, but I moved…
National Honors Society-4 years/ secretary now
Doctors Club-1 year/vice president now
Sudanese Genocide Campaign-I started it in sophomore year and it gradually became a class project, and later school project. It has been going on for 3 years now and I’m
project leader. / I wrote essays about this alot…
Choir- 4 years

Volunteering Activities:
-Teen Program : Worked with students with mental/physical disabilities 5 days a week for a year before I moved to current school
-Have Volunteered at a Stanford Children Hospital for 3 years (ever since I moved…)
( i want to be pediatrician later on…)
-volunteer at Loaves & Fishes every summer

Awards:
-Principal Honor Roll
-National Honor Roll
-San Jose Chorale Silver Award
-Le Grand Concours
-AP Scholar Award

I sent 2 teacher recs (one bio teacher, another english teacher since my major is bio) and one extra from my advisor at Stanford Children Hospital.

so that’s it… since my SAT score is so low, I hope that colleges will see my volunteer stuffs and ecs more… But what do you think?

Today, I already got declined by northwestern, U chicago, and duke.
I’m really really really worried!!! so please be honest!!

THANK YOU!!

Likelihood: (out of 10)

Dartmouth 4
Brown 5
Cornell 6
UPenn 4
USC 7
Princeton 3
Stanford 3
Johns Hopkins 5

what have you been accepted to yet?

and what safeties are you waiting for responses from?

I wouldn’t say that’s accurate at all. You’ve got a fighting chance, daseuli_, but certainly nowhere near the numbers above.

Take a deep breath. Relax. You’ve got as good a shot as anyone, and remember: it’s a crapshoot. People get rejected from Tufts and accepted to HYP. Stats don’t mean a thing.

Did you need financial aid? Of all the schools you applied to, only Dartmouth and Princeton are need-blind for international students. Which means schools like Brown may not accept you simply because they don’t have the financial aid budget to afford you.

^I have a feeling she’s a US student, fireandrain. She mentions that she’s in San Jose.

Stats don’t mean a thing.-- that is not true in any way. Of course stats mean everything, esp GPA. Colleges love a high GPA and yours is great. Look forward to a good 2-4 acceptances, give or take a few… better chances that me thats for sure

^Yea stats don’t matter THAT much anymore. If you have a solid one, it already shows you’re capable of doing work at the university.

Aka it’s not like you’ll be learning some kind of alien math/coding/science at MIT vs. “normal” human college stuff at your flagship public, e.g. Berkeley and UMich.
