I go to a magnet school that doesn't rank so I have a 3.97 GPA for 6 semesters (1 B freshman year). My Test Scores weren't very strong though, I took the SAT Twice, 760M, 600CR, 660WR, and the second time I took it I got 740M, 680CR, 600WR, which totally sucked. So I guess my highest scores were , 760M, 680CR, and 660WR.... I have a 32 ACT, My SAT II's were 760 Math and 750 Chem. I thought my essays were pretty good, I had my college counsellor proof read em and she liked em. For extracirriculars I have been doing Cross Country and Track each since 8th grade and and been captains of both teams. Got good rec's from my language teacher who i had for 4 years, my chem teacher who i had for 2 years (and am now doing an indep. study with), and did the optional one with my cross/track coach. Also I've had 2 jobs, both relating to Engineering with the local state University.

I wouldn't say you don't have any shot - the test scores are your weakest area but if your essays were fantastic and your recs were good as well, stranger things have happened. Don't count yourself out.

dude, you just sound so depressed...... now I feel it's obligatory for me to reply to a chances thread (first time ever! I don't reply on principle, anyway)

nobody can tell your chances without seeing your app folder--everything, essays, activities, recs, transcript. and now, everybody is starting to take Ashveer's sarcasm/humor seriously. chill! okay, maybe not literally, New England is kinda cold right now. but relaxxxxxx for the last couple days of freedom--freedom from knowledge of knowing where you're gonna go next year. go read a book. heck, go do homework. go party. go see a movie. go to a concert! forget stanford. the cardinals needn't bother you for a couple more days at the least. deal?

ACT score of 32 is pretty good and it would make up for SAT test score. Also, you never know whether you will get in or not. Some with really good rec can get rejected, some with bad rec can get in.

can you analyze my chances? haha... sorry... but i'm stressing.
