Title says it all. I NEED A JOB.

I'm thinking of applying to BestBuy or Ralph's in Westwood. Anyone knows how competitive it is to get a job there? What about the wages?

Thanks fellow Bruins!

lol problem with getting jobs there is the fact ull be paying taxes and alot of that moeny will go to social security etc etc. Your best bet is to tutor. Go to local areas and post ur information email contact etc and just say ur from UCLA and say ur SAT is its a good score. When u tutor u will almost always get paid cash

tutoring is good if you can get in... most prefer people who have graduated college. check out daily bruin classifields. also pinkberry pays $9 an hour and its easy and fun

well it depends, you'll really have to play the race card. If ur chinese/korean, go to areas where alot of chinese or korean people go like 99 ranch etc and post in chinese or whatever language there. The fact you go to UCLA will be the resume and they'll pay cash usually 10-25 dollars an hour because its cheaper than getting a professional private tutor who usualyl go for 50/hr. If not, just post at supermarkets or malls. Ull usually get around 10 bucks an hour. Tutoring is an easy job to get as long as u post in the right places

Check craigslist. There are tons of part-time jobs.

If you want something on campus check here, http://www.ucla.edu/employment.html (new postings come up every Wednesday). Also look on bulletin boards, kiosks and walk around the different hallways. There are usually flyers announcing part-time work.

ahahahahha flong =P

LOL what! its good pay man especially if u get little kids and u teach them simple stuff its like ur not teaching at all!!

dude most people have to pay taxes out of their wages. it's just kind of how it is. might as well get used to it. tutoring is ok, but it's not always consistent and while that can be a draw, it also sucks if you need a steady income.

and eh, i don't think either places would be terribly difficult to land a job with provided that they're hiring.

RALPHS SUCKS ASS!!!

i worked at a ralph one summer, it's horrible

I'm loooking for on campus work too for Spring ..
