So I'm basically taking out everything in loans...so I got all the loan stuff taken care of. So for now, do I just pay the bill, and then wait for the loans to come in later on?

i called the financial aid office and they said the loans will be credited to your account by august 11th, and you should receive an finalized bill by august 14th.

Thank you! That helped a lot.

Sometimes the lenders do not get your loan to you in time for the tuition payment deadline. I ran into this problem last year. The money did not arrive in my account until like the Tuesday or Wednesday after the Friday payment deadline for Fall Semester. I had to go to see them when they set up in the gym at the beginning of the school year to find out when they were actually planning to disburse it. Didn't have this problem for Spring Semester though....came in on tme.

baboking,

I might be having the same problem this semester. I recently received notice that my private loan request was approved by Bank of America, but they might not disburse my funds in time for the August 18th deadline.

Did you ask USC to defer your account? I sent them an email yesterday requesting financial aid deferment.

Also, what student account are the loans credited towards? USC provides students with free checking accounts, and federal loans like Stafford loans are credited there? The reason I ask is that I signed up for one of Bank of America's checking accounts, and I'm a little confused as to how I'll be paying with two accounts.
