I was accepted to Bryn Mawr, Smith, and Connecticut College. I can’t figure out which one would be best. I’m thinking about economics but i’m still somewhat undecided. Also, the financial aid (or lack there of) is equal at all schools. Does anyone have some input that would help me make my decision? Thank You
I’d lean toward Bryn Mawr or Smith just for the consortium advantages. In that respect, I think Smith gives the bigger advantage in the number/quality of courses available through the 5-college consortium.
You may also approach your decision in terms of how you feel about coeducational social options:
Connecticut College: coeducational
Bryn Mawr: 1.3 miles to Haverford
Smith: 8.5 miles to UMass and Amherst
Thank you! Do you know if one has a better econ program over the other?
Connecticut is the only college of the three to have economics listed under most popular majors (14%), an indirect measure of strength. Though Smith has an undifferentiated “social sciences” at 23%, which would include economics.

Even if financial aid (or lack thereof) is the same at each school, it doesn’t mean each will cost the same since sticker price is different. Can you let us know what the cost to your family would be?
