Ugh, I hate it.

There's always that ONE thing that people wish they could change about themselves: their hair color, weight, grades, popularity, whatever. For me, its my time management.

I can't believe I have oh... 3 weeks and 2 days until school starts and I'm only halfway done with my summer assignments. Grr.

Are there any other lovely procrastinators out there? =/
Or any tried-and-true ways to, well, deal with being a procrastinator?

Tell yourself "just start"

Then tell yourself "keep going"

xD yes it's that simple.
or...
you could reward yourself with candy/cookies after you're done =D

I could be a little better off than you but pulling my hair out all the same, grrrr, at least my school didn't start so early this year....

i'm also a procrastinator (b/c i can still get straight A's even though i wait until the last moment).......but i'm stopping this year ( yes, it's that easy).

3 weeks and 2 days? You're golden. I don't think most of my class will start their summer reading until the week before schools starts. A few will do it the night before (or try).

I have 12 days left till school and I still have to start reading my 2 books!

I'll cease being a procrastinator tommorow.

You stole my line. :D

I've been trying to stop procrastinating for about 3 years now (ever since 8th grade)...it doesn't work. It might last for about 1-2 days and then I just give up. This sucks :-(

I really must stop procrastinating next month.
I don't mind it now.

I'm such a procrastinator!!! I really need to get more of my flvs class done before schol starts, but the sad part is that I can't do it at home. I get so distracted!!! I'll just randomly stop working and watch tv or IM people or CC. I need to be at the library (but i download AIM on the computer and still go on CC :D). I do it at a section of the FAU library that doesn't care if you do random things on it :)

. . .

It's nearly 12:30 in the morning, and I still have to write a Civics essay and an English rough draft. And I'm not even starting right now.

*I still have 5 hours until I go to school, right? That's plenty of time. *

your school already started???

It started July 25th.

If it is any consolation, you're certainly not alone.

My school starts tomorrow. I read Crime and Punishment and The Stranger yesterday and did the work (paragraphs of plot, etc) today. Today, I also went shopping for supplies, and read Of Mice and Men and Oedipus Rex and just completed the assignments for that.

Before tomorrow morning, I have to become familiar with a great deal of Greek mythology and read 3 related books, read a book in Spanish and write summarizing journals for each chapter, write two almost final essays to the UC prompts, and update/add to a 15-page portfolio of my academics.

I probably should have done this earlier, too...O__O

^^^ I hate Greek mythology. At least Edith Hamilton's Mythology. AHHHHHHHHH Wanted to tear my eyes out of it's socket. NEVER READ THAT BOOK EVER!!!! JUST READ SPARKNOTES!!!! ....bad memories....

Haha. That is one of the books I have to read!!! Wow. Do you seriously suggest I read Sparknotes? Maybe I will in addition to the book. I haven't opened it yet, but now I think I will prolong doing so out of sheer fear of what I have to face...thanks :P

I have to write my English paper on the true nature of Achilles. Sadly, the teacher does not check the actual content - rather, he checks for where you placed your name on the paper, the font size, the font type, the margins, and whatnot. Unfortunately, I was too busy contemplating n-dimensional space while we were reading the 1st book of the Illiad, so I don't even know a third of the story.

^ WHERE do you go to school? july 25 is crazy lol.
