I'm suppose to be in Mich right now!!! :(

So we had a flight to detroit this morning, but it got delayed and then cancelled. Then we were put on a second flight that got cancelled. We spent way too may hours at the airport and now we have a new flight tomorrow, but I'm going to miss the majority of Friday's campus day! I can't come another time so I'm hoping to make the best of the time that I will have in Mich. I'll be there from tomorrow (10-11AM ish depending on flight problems) till Sunday. What should I try to look at and do while I'm in Mich?

Thanks,
E

I'm sorry that happened, but don't blame Michigan weather, it was beautiful here today. Make sure you walk around central campus, go to the Union, one of the dorms nearby like South quad or West quad, Walk across the street and see the law quad it's beautiful. Walk across the diag, go into the grad library, and the undergrad library. Go to one of the rec buildings either CCRB or the one on North campus and see all the cool work out stuff. Drive by the Big House, and Crisler Arena. I think the Chem building is cool, I'm sure some current students can tell you more once you are there. Since it is the weekend there probably won't be much tos see officially. but most of the Campus Day info is available online anyway.

Just explore the campus, walk around State, Main, South University and Liberty streets, check out the Diag, Clock Tower, Union, Graduate and undergraduate libraries and the Law quad. If you have time drive to North Campus and see the college of Engineering and on the way there, check out the hospital...it is impressive to say the least.

Have lunch at Zingerman's and dinner at one of Ann Arbor's quaint student hangouts. If you are into sports and assuming there isn't anything else going on, got to a sports bar at 5:30 PM on Saturday and watch Michigan play in the Ice Hockey tournament. In short, try to get comfotrable and imagine what it would be like living at Michigan.

I think Dance marathon is going on this weekend. Plus a lot of other stuff, as usual. This link may help.

If you're 21 or older, there is a nice pub called Angies (that might be slightly off). It is tasty

Hockey game is actually at 7:30. 5:30 is local start-time in Denver. Might be difficult to find a place with room and that game on, as it's NCAA basketball time. Best bets would be Buffalo Wild Wings and the Arena.
