I also have a 96 average in that class and I love/am confident with history. Would it be a good idea to take the AP Euro this year and self-study? If so, should I already start studying?

Thanks :)

No doubt about that. You can self-study AP Euro even if you are not in a World History class. It just depends on your ability to absorb the materials. If you’re really good, then go for it.

AP Euro is a more specific history course than AP World History. You might not have enough time to self-study unless you use a study guide.

If you have the time / motivation.

AP Euro really is very different from AP World though… not that much of AP World is on European history (only like 20% or so?.. and it’s also very broad).

Alright, thanks guys. I have decided to not take the test because I don’t have enough time and I do not really need it (I’m already taking enough AP tests through High School to have a shot at National AP Scholar.
