I'm torn between Cal Poly or Univ. of Colorado at boulder....HELP

I got accepted to both business schools at cal poly and CU and I seriously can't decide between the two. Post some pros and cons if you know some for either school!!

Please!

Cal Poly San Luis Opisbo or Pomona?

I would choose Univ. Colorado over CP Pomona.

I would choose Univ. Colorado over CP SLO if you intend to stay in Colorado.
I would choose CP SLO over Univ. Colorado if you intend to settle in California.

Personally, seeing that you're from Colorado, I'd save money and go there.

cal poly slo

i would totally pick CU if 2/3 of my high school didnt go there or it stayed warm all year but that is not the case

the business school at cal poly pomona is in danger of losing its accreditation and barely made the cut the last time around.

not even in the conversation with the other two schools.

DECAms -- just because 2/3 of your high school will go to CU doesn't mean that's who you'll hang out with. In college people go their own way - especially a school as big as Boulder and with as large a population of out-of-staters.

Cal Poly does not have the cachet of Boulder -- not in Colorado, not in California. As an out-of-state student you'll be paying twice Boulder's tuition for a school with half the reputation.

But yes, Cal Poly is warmer.

colorado.....................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my vote would be for colorado, but that's just because i know it's really fun there (be warned, it is a party school) and being from the midwest, cal poly is a second-tier university to me, while i would consider colorado a first-tier.

go to SLO.............

it sounds like people are torn half and half.

Does cal poly SLO's business school really have that much less merit than colorado's?

because I know in the business week ratings rank colorado state's b-school higher than CU but people seem to think Leeds is better.

I want to go to some highly noted cali school (Berkeley... maybe) for my MBA when the time comes around, if I go to Colorado or Cal Poly would they favor one or the other more?

Colorado is a top tier public university, cal poly can't begin to compare.

Cal Poly SLO is noted for their architecture and engineering programs.

For business, it's not as strong, but still very good.

Since you're interested in business and California, have you considered USC?

all schools in Cali are way too expensive except for the state one's for OOS students, so I have looked at USC but its not really a possibility.

Is getting a MBA in california going to be easier if I attend an undergrad school in CA or does it not matter?

^ Doesn't matter.
