I'm currently a freshman at Arcadia University, and next semester I'll be transferring to Monmouth. I don't like it here because I don't exactly have a lot of friends, everyone goes home on weekends which is super boring, I want to switch my major and the education I'm getting here isn't that great. But I'm really scared of transferring because I'm afraid I won't make friends since everyone else will already have friends, I don't know what my housing situation will be like, and I mean just the idea of starting over new where everyone else is already established is freaking me out. So can any transfer students out there offer me some advice and/or positive reinforcement? Anything would be appreciated :|

I suggest looking into clubs and groups of interest before you go. Might find some ideas about how to meet new people. I’ve relocated twice on my own and I agree it’s scary. The first time I was really lonesome for a few months, but finally found good friends. The second time I sort of new what was coming so I bought several books I was interested in and new music, and as soon as I moved I found a trail to run when I felt bored. It helped keep me busy in that limbo time before you have people around to hang out with. Good luck on your adventure!:)

Those all sound like great ideas, thanks
