I am a freshman at NYU.
GPA: 3.5
Courses completed by the end of this semester: Micro/macro, Calc, a year of writing, and a few electives. I am on track for an Econ major.
HS stats: ranked in top 10%, SAT Score: 1320 (670,650), Great essays/activities in HS.
Will probably have solid rec's from professors, they liked me.

--Lets assume my GPA improves this semester (i made some mistakes last semester....)

The question is: I am interested in transferring to business programs...What are some I should be considering/in my league.

If you're in Stern, why do you want to transfer out? I hear they have one of the top undergraduate programs in business?

And without top grades, great ECs and recs, I don't think you can go any higher up, prestige-wise. And, in my opinion, considering where you're at, that's not a bad thing at all.

your alreayd in NYU, wouldnt it be easier to transfer into Stern than into a whole other school? Did you enter as a freshman to NYU or as a Transfer?

I was accepted to BC's CSOM EA last year- I didnt like BC so i came to NYU as a freshman... I am just interested in seeing which schools fit me as of where I stand right now. Looking or a school in the northeast. No public schools.

If you only want undergrad business and must be in the NE, you're pretty much limited to Stern (NYU) and Wharton (UPenn). Transferring into Wharton is about as difficult as it gets given the small size, high retention and preference for internal transfers. If you don't mind being in Greenwich Village again next year, you might want to try to transfer internally to Stern.

basically Stern, Wharton are the two top schools, non public business schools

I'd suggest Ross, but it's a public school and very competitive. Also, it's a 3 year program, so not sure how you feel about staying one extra year (if you don't make it in Ross as a transfer, but the LS&A)
