I'm upset. =(

I got rejected from Yale SCEA. I sucked it up and now I’m at Wharton, which is probably a better fit for me anyway.
Those of you who don’t get into Penn will suck it up and end up somewhere else that’s really good, and you’ll feel lucky that there are a lot of other people out there who would love to be in your position.

Edit: Also, I realized that it’s a good thing to face some sort of rejection once in a while. After getting rejected from Yale, I did more research on my other schools and really fixed up my essays and application so that I’d have a better chance getting into my other ones. It definitely helped in the end.

hey all. i, too, have been deferred. as soon as i found out, i cried. penn is the only school at which i can see myself. i’m not getting my hopes up, as last year only 10% of deferrees were ultimately accepted.

out of curiosity, where are you all applying now that you’ve been deferred from penn?

even though I got accepted, i still am a nervous wreck. every time I think about it, tears well up in my eyes. Don’t lose hope!

aww congrats kajal!! (love the name kajal btw  idk if that’s ur real name lol)

I have/planning to apply to NYU Stern, Columbia, WashU, Emory, and a couple others

I already got into UMich and UIUC Business so I think those are nice fall back schools…

But of course, I’d go to Penn in a heartbeat no matter what. =)

You can also transfer after your freshman year if you’re still that dedicated to attending Penn. However, I think the criteria for transfer vs high school is completely different. I was also accepted, but I think I have this compulsion for worry and now I’m freaking out about getting bad grades and getting a rescind.
