I'm very confused I need help.

Hi CC!!

As you can tell I'm very confused right now. I've been going to community college part-time for 4 semesters now. I work a lot of hours to help my parents. My adviser told me to take all my mathematics when I transfer to a 4 year university. Does that sound right? She got fired a couple weeks ago, so I'm thinking maybe she didn't know what she was doing.

These are the classes I've taken. Including this fall semester.

English 1301
English 1302
French 1411
Government 2301
Psychology 2301
Speech 1315
Philosophy 1301
Macro-Economics

I have a 3.9 GPA.

I want to go to UT or Texas A & M for engineering.Should I just change what I want to major in?

I'm planning on taking College Algebra in the fall.

Any ways I'm very confused right now and starting to panic because it feels like I've been ill advised. Nobody in my family went to college so I can't ask them for their opinion. What do I do? What steps do I take? I don't mind going to community college for 2 more semesters and the summer semester if I have to( I can take 3 classes in the summer if I choose to.) Do you think that would be enough time for me to rectify this situation so I can transfer in to either one of those universities for Fall 2013 or 14. I know I'm partly to blame for this too.
