im transferring from the college im at now, to a different college next semester. Im transferring because I have to really good friends there, and absolutely no friends here. The only thing I do here for fun is play xbox and talk to them on it. Im a sophmore and only have two more years before the real world, and want to enjoy them more. I think i still will be able to focus on school. im a very hard working student and have a 3.5 gpa. I work harder than anybody else i know towards school. I just want to make sure I continue to do well. My parents are very laid back, but I still want them to be proud of me. The thing I am really worried about is pick classes late. Im worried i will get stuck with shitty professors, and this will ruin my grades. i have bad teachers in the past, but only like 3. i still did fine in their classes, but if i had 5 bad teachers at once it could be overwhelming. I get easily stressed out, and it takes days and days for me to prepare for a test. I do not know if im a slow learner or overstudy. Do you think i will be okay? im fine with taking 3 hour classes. i always take at least one a semester because they usually have great professors. This is stressing me out. i just thinking transferring will make me have more of a social life, and hopefully get a damn girlfriend to spend time with haha! Im transferring to VCU!

Ask your friends for enrollment tips, hopefully they’ll know the system and how to get into classes, or which professors to avoid. Whenever I had bad enrollment dates, I would go for unpopular sections… ones early in the morning, or late at night. The times are less desirable, but it can mean getting the classes you need.

If you do get stuck with bad professors… I’d suggest trying to form a study group, commiserate with the others who are stuck in your class. You can help each other understand concepts, maybe work through hard problem sets together.

Good luck with transferring, try not to spend all your time hiding away playing games. :P
