The title says it all, I'm writing my teacher's recommendation for him and I could say whatever I want. The problem is, I don't know what to say exactly. Can anyone show me what a good recommendation might look like or better yet, write my recommendation for me. I'm in a lot of trouble, I need to get it done before the coming Monday. URGENT HELP PLEASE!!
Thank you

write what u do in classes, ur participation, about ur analytical skills and about ur academic achievement and personality.

are you serious?

even my teacher asked me to do the same when I asked her to fill out the TE form. And even I am as clueless about what to write… I can write about what I do in class and my academic and personal qualities, but how should I know what sets me apart from the other students that my teacher has taught?

Just don’t write too much good about yourself, give way for a bit negetive side. For example that a bit talkative or too much silent. Yes…some people go on proclaiming that they are some sort of Spiderman, helping people aroung their city!!!..Dont write such craps, please. Its better if you ask your peer about your positive side and the negetive side. This would help you to asses yourself!.
Best of Luck.

Wait, let me get this straight.

Your teacher is letting you write your own rec (wow) and now you want someone else’s to copy off.

Is this going to be even slightly honest and about you?

Colleges can tell if a student wrote their own rec. Grammar and punctuation can give you away easily especially the use of the semicolon which most recs incorporate.

I tried to convince my teacher to write my rec, but she’s giving me all the weird excuses she can think of…

Will grammar and punctuation give it away? I’m going to get it checked by my teacher all the same

…thats cool lol. But yeah be realistic dont juice yourself up, cause then to me that would be just cheating. Write about yourself truthfully.

Uh…ask another teacher. One thats knows you well enough and is actually willing to write a letter of reccomendation for you.

mossesgetch and VardaSilmenar, your teachers sound ludicrously unprofessional and are doing you a disservice. Yes, there are other students who write their own RECs and get away with it…but there are also way more who get caught. If colleges only cared about what YOU thought of yourself, they wouldn’t require recs at all. Ask a different teacher.

I didn’t write what I think about myself. I askd my friends to pool in ideas and they came up with reasonable ones. I also asked my mother. She taught me in the 9th and 10th grades and knows what I’m like. That should be okay, right?

No, it’s not. You can’t write a recommendation letter and then say it was written by a teacher. Get another teacher to write it. You’re lying to the colleges you’re applying to by saying that a teacher wrote the rec. when they did not.

This is a TEACHER recommendation. There’s no point in taking a chance and possibly getting caught.

yay!! I convinced my teacher to write my recommendation on her own (all thanks to my mum). But now she’s angry with me… weird!
