I’m a 14 year old female. 5’3", ~102 pounds. Go find a charting scale that proves me wrong; otherwise, you just seem stupid now.

I seem stupid because you just claimed that an “average mile time” proves that you are “physically fit”? That sounds like some infallible reasoning.

Perhaps I should have been more clear on the stupid part. It’s stupid how you claim my mile time is “*ty” without knowledge of my physical statistics. If I was a 15 year old boy then, yes, that would be a “*ty” mile time. However, I am not. The mile time according to my gender, height, and weight is average to above average. It is the ignorance you display that I find so low.

So if a 5’6’ 200 pound female says that she runs a 20 minute mile, and I say it is *ty, I’m stupid because I didn’t have knowledge about her physical statistics? Your reasoning is getting more laughable with each post.
If you were a 15 year old boy, that mile time would indicate you are not physically fit. If you were a 15 year old girl, that mile time still indicates that you are not physically fit. Care to enlighten me of the ignorance I’m displaying?

That is an extreme case and provides no substantial support to what your supposedly “correct” way of reasoning is. 20 minutes is not a good mile time for ANYONE. It’s a known fact. When the mile time goes down, though, that’s when you have to look at the exact stats of the person. What I am saying is that once it reaches a certain point, you can’t just outright say that it’s “****ty.” There are some specific factors that will start coming into play after a certain degree, just like in my case. 7 to 8 minutes is bad and does not demonstrate physical fitness? Wow, that’s just exaggerated. I expected better from you Jersey13.

Yes I already said that…why are you repeating me?

And that is your tragic flaw. Comparing me to these other cases which are A) extreme and B) not even my exact stats. My 7 to 8 minute mile time does indeed prove that I am physically fit, and I shall be glad to enlighten you: [Powered by Google Docs](http://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=cache:oH2OS8dc3ZMJ:www.cde.ca.gov/ta/tg/pf/documents/healthfitzone09.pdf+california+fitness+gram&hl=en&gl=us&pid=bl&srcid=ADGEESgqe4S22SdKcwDovisphiYDOITVLKyH_cJ_d92WBWGGmOExtGdKd-mEBuvagAETFRlynH0V9kX_9r_uxSyxADYE1SrqwLYJalKmIX5zJuNpY4wfaxMaZ6VyUUIzumatbiVUMlzn&sig=AHIEtbQRoE49Ukjgx5TaT7kn-QqYpRNZWA)

My mile time is well below 8:30. GG.

The extreme case is provided because I want to illustrate how stupid your logic is, and my point is that physical characteristics such as height are negligible in determining mile times and weight need not be mentioned considering the fact that we are discussing “physically fit” people.
Sure, when you’re looking at competitive miles (sub-6 for girls and sub-5 for boys) exact stats might bear some relevance, but even then, to say that x time is good because of the limitations imposed by y height is just stupid.
Sure, and you’re time is above this certain subjective point in my opinion and thus I consider it *ty for someone who claims to be “physically fit”.
What specific factors? Height completely irrelevant, especially since your height isn’t an anomaly for your age, and a healthy weight is assumed considering the fact that we’re discussing criterion for being “physically fit”. 7 to 8 minutes is bad if you’re trying to use it as proof that you are “physically fit”. In general, a 7-8 minute mile is average, not bad, but as I’ve repeated several times already, average =/= physically fit.

I think you can figure that out from reading the sentence that follows it. Sometimes, two sentences are related, a strange concept, but it happens.

No comparison was even made… I provided an extreme to illustrate the irrelevance of your previous point. Not sure what you’re even talking about in B) and how that relates to my “tragic flaw”.
Congratulations, your mile time proves that, quoted verbatim from your link, you meet the “minimum levels of fitness that offer protection against the diseases that result from sedentary living” which is obviously interchangeable with “physically fit”.

lol Jorghi get over it.

The way in which the brain processes information is essential to the very idea of “intelligence” and there are palpable and heritable differences among individuals. However, I take issue with the idealistic notion of quantifying intelligence as a simple, immutable scalar property (i.e. IQ, g factor).

This. Personally, I’ve never worked out in my life, but can easily pull out an 8 minute mile. I’m also 5’3’', and pretty skinny (with no muscle mass, I think)

I’ve seen girls run 5:30 miles in highschool. I’ve also seen the slowest girls that usually get around last place running 12:00 Minute 2Mile times. So I would have to say 8:00 MinMile is nothing to be proud of. But every human has a different muscle build such as they have different brain builds. Thats why Usain Bolt is the fastest 100meter runner, but he would die trying to run a 5k no matter how hard he trained. But the chance of anyone being that highly proportional… is unlikely…

@mifune - Thats what I mean. I just could find any word to explain it.

@itsinreach - Meh. Its pointless saying this because everyone here wants to fight logic saying that they are gifted in everything… And what that TrufflePuff said about how she could do 3digit multiplication in her head only means she has good ‘long term’ memory. Or at least a very fast mental processing ability(Cognitive)(Which I highly doubt because that would mean she would have to do those calculations in split seconds[Which is actually possible] - Check out Stan Lee Superhumans.).

Albert Einstein, a shy, autistic(Brain focus on specific parts[More brain power for that job]), Higher amount of neurons(Improved Mental Visual Ability, NOT VISUAL MEMORIZATION…))

Meh… In the end, the nerds that rule Technology and Knowledge in those CEO/Top Suits, will just be taking spots from the more gifted of that job.

Who would you want doing surgery for you? Someone who has high critical ability that understands everything completely, or someone who memorized everything to pass Medical School? :)

Regards, Jorghi.

Have a nice life.

This should go in the “Funniest thing you’ve ever seen on CC” thread. :D

Hi five!

Trufflie: 11 minutes is beyond embarrassing. Fat kids get in the 10’s. 11 minutes means you walked it.

You guys are funny, believing what I say especially that first whole paragraph I said. I luff you guys.

But for the mile, I really meant it, Like I said, I didn’t do any physical activity for months after tennis ended. I also have asthma, which I should also have mentioned. My mile time has returned to 7-8 minutes fyi.

^Mile times don’t drop 4 minutes over the course of a season. It takes a long time to drop 4 minutes. In fact, it takes a lot of work to get an 11 minute mile - I probably wouldn’t get it if I tried.

Now that I realize how hard it is to get an 11 minute mile, I congradulate you.

Yeah they don’t drop that badly. I had to run three laps. I was with my friends messing around with the XC people on the first and second laps. If I tried, I know I would have gotten no more than 10 minutes.

You didn’t mention that in your other thread…

Pathetic, really…

I fail to mention a lot of things when I write threads because of sheer laziness…I didn’t even go into detail about reasons why in my thread.

There is truth in this post

Why are you talking about yourself like that?
