So I wonder what University of Rochester's requirement for new incoming students.
I lost my immunization record and cannot get it from anywhere again.
yup, no way to get them all back. I am an international students and we have a card for injection from we were born, if you lose it, you can never get it back again.
I wonder if it is a long list of injections requirement :/ my pain tolerance is near zero, I will probably die from getting so many injections at once too.

You should call or email Student Health.

Health History Forms 275-0697 HHF@uhs.rochester.edu

But know that you will not be allowed to enroll or move into the dorm UNLESS you can provide proof of immunization. It’s a state law.

[Immunization Requirement :: University Health Service](http://www.rochester.edu/uhs/healthcare/Immunization.html)

You’ll need to be immunized against: mumps, measles, German measles (rubella), tetanus and diphtheria. Additionally it’s strongly recommended that you get immunized against meningococcal meningitis (highly contagious when in close living quarters like dorms and has very, very severe consequences–like death)

Since you’re an international student you will also need a a tuberculin skin test to show you don’t have TB. If you have positive skin reaction, you’ll be required to provide a chest X-ray showing you are disease-free.

BTW, Measles, mumps & rubella (MMR) is 1 shot; diphtheria & tetanus (DT) is 1 shot; meningitis is 1 shot, tuberculin test is a scratch on the forearm. You’ll live.

yes.I am not living in dorm so I hope it will give me more time to get the injections done again. For the TB, do you know if I need to get it again even though I had a TB test two years ago for entering my current college?
Nice to know that I will live though. LOL
I will ask if they allow me just to have test for all of them too since some of the schools allow that.

You will not be allowed to enroll or attend classes unless you have proof of immunization. It’s a state law.

As for the TB test, contact student health and ask.

Mmmmhh, I think that if you are currently enrolled in a College, their health department should have a copy of your immunizations record or health history or something equivalent, assuming you are in a USA school. =)

the Tuberculosis Skin Test (PPD Skin Test) needs to been done within 6 months according to the form. The test has changed to a small injection in the arm now.

Seriously, kameow, contact Student Health and ask them. I posted the contact info for you already. THEY are the ones who will have the final word on everything.

The people there are very helpful and very nice to deal with. If they don’t have an immediate answer for you, they will check on it and get back to you within a very short time. That’s been my personal experience with them, as well as my daughter’s.
