Immunizations question

I was filling out the online immunizations form for new students, and it says that some vaccines/tests are required for "all Health Sciences Students". What makes you a Health Science Student, and if you aren't one, does that mean that you don't need like the TB screen, the test for Hep B, etc?

Things like nursing or physicians assistant school.

Awesome! Maybe I won't need to see a doctor then.

For the TB Screen though, it says that it is required for "all students from Africa, Asia and Latin America". Is that referring to international students? Or anyone born in those continents?

Best bet if you're not certain -- bring the form to your doctor. Maybe you're not up to date with things like TB screen, Hep B, etc? In any case, they're almost definitely referring to international students, because if you were just born there and then lived in US your entire life, your entire medical record would essentially be here and you've had gotten all necessary immunizations just solely to go to American schools (and honestly, don't you think if it referred to students born there, it'd say that?)
Figuring out which immunizations to get isn't rocket science...

By when do we need to turn in the immunization stuff?

June 30th, I think...I'm too lazy to check DukePass.

whenever it is, make sure that you get them in by then... you won't be able to register for classes before they have your records.

Ack! This is potentially not good!

I do not think this refers only to international. I would call them.

Do we need Hep B?
