Immunizations

My son, who will be a freshman in 2009, is not covered by health insurance at present. He needs to get several immunizations but they are rather expensive. I have the sense that Penn insurance kicks in on July 1st, but I cannot be sure. Does anyone know? And if July 1st is too late, where would the best place in Philly be to get the least costly immunizations?

I have emailed the Penn immunization people but they have failed to respond - no surprise there. More than 90 percent of my requests to various departments have gone unanswered. Penn should be ashamed of their lackadaisical support staff, especially in this time of breathtaking unemployment when so many qualified, competent, dedicated folks would kill to have their jobs.

Thanks for your response.

what kinds of immunizations? i am attending another university but for mine i needed about 3 more vaccines…costing me only 30 dollars at my old pediatrician.
(i have no health insur. till i am actually in school full time)
