IMP - Chance me for Georgia Tech

Hi, I am an american permanent resident with Indian education (i am an Indian) I want to know if i can get admission into Georgia Tech .

I apply in October early action plan this year.

Assume that i write all the essays and stuff with average-good rating. Moreover does my international education and race affect my chance. If yes please tell how and is it good or bad that i am internationally educated.

------------ACADEMICS---------------

-grade 10 = 9.2/10
-grade 11 = 1st term 79.2% ( INDIAN HIGH SCHOOL IS VERY TOUGH)
= 2nd term-75%.
= Overall - 75.something %
-grade 12 = will send, haven't given the exams right now.

-SAT I = CR-650, Writing-660, Math-790 .
= total - 2100/2400 and 1440/1600.

-SAT II = will give physics and Math IIC. expecting greater than 780 in Maths and a 800 in physics

------------COCURRICULARS----------

-Volunteer work in an organisation promoting education among poor. ( each one teach one)
here i basically taught those who couldn't go to school basic English and Math. Have the certificate.

-I also have 3-4 more such volunteer work certificates. I am not writing them all down as it would take time. Just that all are of volunteer work in fields of education, Disaster managment etc.

-LORs from physics teacher and math teacher.

------------PERSONAL---------------

-My real brother who is 6 years older than me got accepted into it for MTech in EE. I want to do B.Tech and M.tech( if i get the option) in CE.It says on their site that they consider Alumini relation. Well, this is not exactly a "'Alumini" relation..but does this count?

Please tell me can i get into GA Tech...Thankyou for your consideration in advance

Make sure you explain your extracurriculars better in your application. Colleges may think those ECs are too generic. Although your SAT CR and W aren’t great, math compensates for it. And actually, your 1440/1600 is really good. That 790 is a savior. Since you have a low GPA/school average, I would explain the circumstances (since you are in india, it is harder. Make sure you explain in the additional info section!).

I’m not sure what MTech is, but alumni affiliation means: did anyone in your family attend GA tech? If not, that doesn’t apply to you. If your brother currently attends Georgia tech or has attended it before, then it does count.

Good luck, I’m sure you will get in. I’ll probably say its a match.

MTech means ‘Master Of Technology’ equivalent to ‘MSc. or Master of Science’ and yes my real brother will be studying there doing research (most probably). He is a TA right now in GA Tech.

Moreover i do not understand how i got a 790 in maths…i got only 1 incorrect. I read on net that if u get 1 incorect usually u still score a perfect 800.
