How does it affect admissions decisions once you drop classes later in the year (after you have got admissions)?

Do you have to notify them of the change in schedule? Can they rescind based on that?

Well colleges receive your final report card in june. So if they see that you dropped 70% of your classes...that won't look so good.

But if you drop one class for a good reason (not for senioritis) just notify the school and you should be fine.

Most colleges require in their letter of acceptance that you notify them immediately of any changes to your schedule. Yes, they cn rescind you for dropping a class, even for dropping one class. Maybe you were on the fence and the one class made the difference between them accepting you and someone else; drop that class and you may be out.

BTW you're always better off being upfront about it rather than "forgetting" to tell them and hoping they won't notice it this summer when they're reviewing final transcripts. They have people specifically assigned to review final transcripts, so they WILL catch it and they're going to be unhappy you thought you could slip it by.

Yes. Decisions are based on the entirety of your application, which includes your senior schedule.

Yes. But it is much more likely that they will rescind if you don't tell them. They may understand if you need to drop a course (assuming of course that the reason is more than senioritis), but they will not understand the omission of a relevant fact.
