How bad would a low SAT1 affect my chances? I got 2150 (1 sitting) but my SAT2’s are very high (some 800’s)

According to shobhit2006, last year's SAT average score was a 2197. You're doing well, don't worry :)

2197 for PLME ;), it's probably a bit lower for regular undergrad

A 2150 is Ivy caliber. Just a leeetle low. If you're strong in other areas, I wouldn't worry. If you have time to retake, do.

I've taken the SAT1 a couple times, I finally tried on my last =(

Here are some statistics:

What is your breakdown of scores? From what I've heard, Brown now pretty much wants the math and verbal scores, at least, to be over 700. (Someone on CC was told this by a Brown adcomm.)

Have you tried the ACT? Some score higher on that.

I'm not trying to downplay your very excellent score. Also, other factors come into admission decisions. I just don't want you to think that having a score similar to the average of those accepted means you will definitely be accepted yourself. The majority of people with your stat probably aren't -- but this is true of those with a higher score as well.
