I was just wondering how much first semester grades factor in admissions for UCs in particular. Im taking 3 APs (Calc BC, Physics C, and Environmental Science) and the rest are UC approved honors. Ive never gotten a B in high school but im worried that i might get a few bs first semester senior year.</p>

<p>If you apply early action/decision then schools may give you your admission decision before first semester grades come out. Then, as long as you don’t do poorly enough to get rescinded, you wont have to worry about grades affecting admissions. Unless its REA you could apply EA to many schools to avoid the risk of poor grades affecting admissions. </p>
<p>One B wouldn’t have a significant impact on your chances though.</p>
