Impact of taking Latin for only a year?

I have the option to skip lunch to take an elective in 9th grade; in this case, Latin. If I continue skipping lunch for Latin in 10th grade, I won’t have the option of taking AP Stats, which I would rather take.

It seems like you could get three years of Latin if you took Latin I in ninth grade, Latin II in eleventh grade, and Latin III in twelfth grade. Is that possible?

Statistics is better taken in college, because it’s one of those classes that goes on your resume under “relevant classes” (and your potential employer doesn’t care what classes you took in HS).

If you get college credit for AP Statistics, why can’t you just list the class you got credit for?
