I know Computer Science is or was one of them. When I researched about the majors as an incoming undergrad, I hardly ever heard of "impacted majors". But that phrase came up a lot of times in the transfer and change of major section.

EDIT: Checking those sections, I haven't been able to found information on what specific majors are impacted, both in the catalogue and in the Change of Major page.

Thanks

so where do i stand in terms of chances
i only took a cp computer programming class in 11th grade (A-/A)

You're likely to get into the CS program. I highly recommend that you do some programming on your own. UCI's introductory course in programming, ICS21, somewhat assumes you know quite a bit on the basics of JAVA to begin with.

thanks birdkiller

anyone else ?

i know almost anything that has "computer" in is is probably impacted, but as an incoming frosh, it just means they have a higher admission standard and you may/may not be able to transfer in (and by transfer, i dont mean from a JC. i mean from one major to another). same goes with business admin.

and most of the arts (dance, drama, music, etc) you need to audition.

i tihnk tahts most of it.

I applied for Business Administration and Business Information Management as my alternative major. They considered me for Informatics instead. I then emailed them to be changed to Business Economics and I was admitted under that major.
