Impacted Majors & UCs

So I'm planning on just going to either UCSD, UCLA, UC Davis, or UC Berkeley as an engineering major, but I wasn't sure exactly if I had the scores/grades for that kind of major. I've been hearing from all kinds of ppl that engineering majors are very difficult to get into so I just wanted to get some other opinions to determine if I should possibly choose a different major at one campus just to have a back up or something. My scores are as follows: 2060 SAT (670 CR 780 Math 610 Writing), 800 Math II, 780 Chem, 4.09 UC GPA. My main concern are actually extra curriculars, but I can fix those up myself, I just want to hear some input jsut based on my scores and grades.

If these scores are as they say, then I think your chances of admission are relatively high. Although UCs are considered the 'public IVYs'.... if my friends can do it with worse scores and lower grades, there's quite a shot. Anyway, engineering is difficult to get into no matter what college you decide upon. Good luck.

which branch of engineering?

alright, thanks jessicalcc08, and I was planning on putting Electrical Engineering as major except for Berkeley I put Engineering Undeclared.

Engineering undeclared is as hard as EE/CS for UCB. Pick a different engineering major.

Yeah my friend told me that Engineering Undeclared is really hard to get into, but Berkeley is not much #1 choice, but I was considering a different major, like a non-engineering major for one school just to make sure I atleast have something, but I was figuring I would do that with UCLA and maybe put my major in biology instead.

i have the same question, can someone plz answer it
