Imperial College London Transfer

Does the Imperial College London or any UK university accept transfer students from the US?

English unis aren’t big on transfers, IC is like an Ivy for engetc, would you get into a tippy top school in the USA? Your other threads are confusing but realistically IC is a tippy top school. Don’t waste your time if you are not a top student.

I understand they aren’t big on transfers. I am looking for a definitive answer. Also, I don’t know what my other confusing threads have to do with it being a tippy top school, but thank you for helping.

OK LOL. You don’t seem like a student who would get into say, MIT. Think of IC in those terms, transfer aside, which definitely for you, will be no.

I don’t think you understand the question. I am definitely not asking for a chance me. If you do not know the answer to the question. Please do not answer! Thanks!

You’re in a US college?

Then no, you won’t be transferring in.

You’d be trying to enter what is typically a 3 year bachelor’s program.

I also wouldn’t consider ICL equivalent to MIT, but that is besides the point.

As @PurpleTitan indicates, no they do not accept transfers. There are a few UK unis who will give ‘advanced standing’ status, which are typically for domestic transfers, but you would have to have taken specific courses to qualify for that, and it would be very unlikely that you would have the requisite courses.

You can’t transfer per se in the sense of getting credit towards your degree, but some universities may accept completion of the first year at a US university in lieu of AP scores, for admission to the first year in the UK. I don’t believe ICL is one of them, but if you contact the admissions office direct they will tell you.

ah thanks for clearing things up, will try to contact admissions and ect.

Or just at their website. UK Unis tend to be very clear about what they require and look for.
