Implications of switching major on financial aid?

Hey guys, so I got into Cockrell Honors and BME and all that, and I'm happy and stuff, but since I applied to UT last November, I've had thoughts of majoring in mathematics.

So far, I got the 1 time 2500 dollar engineering scholarship for getting into honors, and I got the 5k/yr presidential scholarship (not engineering related). I only applied to cockrell (didn't have a second choice school/major) so I guess when I get my financial package later this month, my only scholarships will be engineering related? So if I'm in engineering for a semester and decide to switch to mathematics, how do you guys think that would affect me financially?

I mean I'm picking it apart in my head, and it looks like I'd at least void the engineering scholarship that I got so far.
-Would the presidential one still be mine, or did they award that taking into account that I'm an engineering major?
-Is it possible/likely that I'll get more non-school-specific scholarships in my financial package, like the presidential scholarship?
-Are many scholarships in each school available to internal transferees, or did I pretty much screw myself over for scholarships by not putting the college of natural sciences on my application?

As of now it's looking like I have a chance of getting full tuition to UT for engineering, so I'd hate to cost myself like 10 or 15 grand a year by changing my mind this late...

Thanks for any replies,
-Michael

P.S., on an unrelated note, I've been wondering, can scholarships cover housing and meal plans? I'm about 2 grand away from covering tuition, so if I get scholarships that exceed the 9000ish tuition cost, will they be able to go to other expenses? Thanks!
