Implied Acceptance?

Son received an email today inviting him to the Villanova "An Inside View of Financial Assistance" on Jan 23rd. Even though the official acceptance letters are not out, his email imply the student has been accepted? Anyone applied EA and did not receive an invite? (He did check no financial aid assistance)

The same thing happened to me. I’m also wondering what the email could indicate. Aahh… so anxious.

I also got this e-mail. It would be nice if this is an implied acceptance.

Did all of you also get the e-mail with the subject “Financial Aid Process at Villanova University‏” or is this the same e-mail?

What did that email say? The one with subject “An Inside View Of Financial Assistance” invited me to come to Villanova on January 23rd.

I checked yes, and didn’t get an e-mail :/

i did not ask for financial aid and i did not get the e-mail.

however i did get an e-mail about a week ago about the “financial aid process at villanova university”.

Yes, I received an email regarding the financial aid process on Dec. 1st.

Has everyone been receiving emails from Villanova? I applied EA and haven’t been getting any emails from them. I had to email them to get the myNova account invitation. It says all my stuff is in so I know they have my application at least.

think it’s a bad sign if we checked yes for financial aid and didn’t get the email?

damn, i did not receive this email. ive only received “financial aid process at villanova university”

To everyone who got this email, where do you live? Does location matter?

I’m all the way in Hawaii.

got the email and im a regular decision applicant

did everyone who got the email send in the css profile?

Well that kills it. If someone from RD got it, then it must not be an implied acceptance.

good i can stop freaking out now haha

wow, that caused several panic attacks! hopefully it was just sent to people nearby or something. this next week is going to be hard to make it through.

thats what i figured. it would make sense for me at least, since i’m from hawaii and its the middle of school.

im with you on that, italianblonde. this is gonna be one of the most stressful, anxious weeks of my life. if i dont get in EA, the next 3 months will be even more stressful.

My D. got the email and we did not check the box for financial assistance. My D. applied EA.

For the person who got the email for RD, you must have already submitted your app? Is that right, when did you submit it. Maybe they have already sent you to “committee!”

When are the EAers suppose to find out and how? Do they send emails or is it on MyNova account?

this is strange. my girlfriend got the email and she didnt apply to villanova. invitation to the connelly center on the 23rd. i guess that destroys this “implied acceptance.”

i have no idea how my gf got the email. but for proof just so you guys dont think im lying and im just bitter that i didnt get an email:
