How much do engineering schools in general care about me completing 4 years of foreign language. i took spanish III last year but no foreign language this year. will i get screwed over?

No. Most schools ‘recommend’ 4 years but don’t require it. For your future major, it’s not relevent in any case, and I assume you did something useful with the extra period like an additional science or math or computer class-or an internship or whatever makes you a more interesting person. Don’t sweat it.

Son applied to a slew of schools for engineering. He only had 3 years of Spanish and declined to take it after he met our state requirements. He was accepted to all the schools he applied to. (Lucky for him he does not have to take a foreign language in college!)

I’m not sure about your situation, but if you took a course that would be more productive towards what you want to do… I doubt they will care.

They might be concerned if you dropped it for a Study Hall.

it should be fine… 2 friends got into yale with 3 years
