Since graduating HS 4 years ago I have really turned around, and while some schools I have looked into don't require SAT and HS transcript the schools that I am reaching for require the HS record.

I now have a 3.9 GPA at a C.C., 60 credits; however, may HS was only 2.5, ranking 189/285.

How much emphasis would be placed on the HS transcript in schools such as: BC, Tulane, Villanova, BU, Penn state, and Purdue?

Also, Does anyone know of schools of similar quality who do not require SAT and/or HS record... Such as Providence, UMiami, UTexas at Austin?

It's my understanding that schools don't consider your h.s. transcripts too heavily, especially if you graduated 4 years ago. As long as you've made steps to turn things around, which clearly you have, that is what's most important. A lot of schools also look favorably towards a candidate who has experienced personal growth. I would somehow incorporate all this into your application.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I graduated h.s. 6 years ago with similar grades. Since then I got my act together and also have a 3.9 at a c.c.

No one can give you a firm answer, but I totally agree with chessie that all evidence points to minimum weight put on hs record and test scores in circumstances such as yours (they will hold more weight for applicants with only two terms of college and more recent hs experience, imo).

Not sure of schools which require neither SAT nor HS record in that caliber - possibly McGill.
