How important is a visit to Princeton or any Ivy League institution in terms of being accepted? In other words, because I live in a neighboring state (still over three hours away) will I be looked upon poorly for not visiting?

I realize this is irrelevant at this point, but maybe it will be helpful to younger students.

Yes, Princeton doesn’t know whether or not you visited. When I went, they didn’t take down the students’ names like other schools. However, you should visit anyway, especially since you live so close, regardless whether it would have an effect on admissions.
