Do colleges look at this? My ACT test is in a week and I’ve only been prepping for the actual non-writing ACT portion because I"ve heard that writing isn’t as important as the other subjects.
Please tell me if I am wrong.

bumpp
Some colleges do look at the writing score. I believe most do not and use essays to assess your writing skills.
For starters, don’t bump after a few hours. give people time to respond. For future reference, you need to wait several days after the last response before bumping. Also, it’s helpful to place a thread in the correct subforum to get responses, so I’ve moved.
Now, for your question. Many colleges are moving away from the writing portion of the SAT/ACT.

I agree with the above that your writing on the applications essays is more important.
Many colleges don’t really care about the writing score. As long as it’s not embarrassingly low, don’t worry about it. It definitely won’t be the make or break of your admission.
