importance of ap biology?

hey i want to major in bio in college and i am going to be a senior next year.

the thing is, i didn't sign up for ap bio b/c i thought it would be too much work on top of having other tough ap classes.

should I just take ap bio or would it not make much of a difference in applying to college?

i know that at college, i wouldn't get ap bio credit since bio will be my major.

is it alright to have no science senior year?
(I already took two science AP's)

If you really want to major in and like Bio then you should drop one of your other AP’s and take AP Bio

If you’re majoring in biology, it’s almost required to take AP Bio… Lol.

lol both of them said it all

How could you know you wanted to major in Bio if you’ve never taken an upper-level course?

It is not alright to have no science if you want to major in science…

Take the AP Bio, you will learn more, and if anything, can skip freshman bio in college.

And yeah. It’s basically a given to take AP Bio and major in Bio…

AP Bio has no importance whatsoever. It is, the HUGEST waste of time that you will experience in the form of a high school course.

^that’s your opinion, but it’s better than AP Chem or AP Physics if you suck at math.

^^ That is based on your school. In my school AP Bio is a joke, but at others, I have heard it is one of the hardest classes, and one of the classes you learn the most. All depends on the teacher.

The way I see it, it’s really only better or easier because it doesn’t require much more than memorization. The learning that goes on in AP Biology is basically reading and studying. Not much application. But it does give you the background that will help you in a bio major.

Not required to take it, but it helps and I completely disagree with GoldenDomer. I recommend you to take AP Bio and see for yourself.

Class is easy as hell. But utterly useless. You don’t learn much. If anything take it to get some exposure, so in college the class will be easier. And perhaps to show interest in Biology, since you’re majoring in it?
