Perhaps I'm being excessively paranoid here, but here goes...

This is my junior year, and I'm taking a decent number of AP tests this year. I'm nearly 100% sure I missed a five on Calc BC (more dumb mistakes than anything) and will probably get a four on Chemistry (my only two science/math APs this year). Would this in any way hurt my application? For instance, I probably will get an A- in AP Chemistry (2nd semester - I got an A first) and an A- in Calc this term is also likely. Add in a 4 on both of the tests, and would it have any negative impact on an MIT application? Or would MIT just not even look at my AP test scores?

Yes, I realize I may get some furious replies (such as "Oh, since a four is SUCH a bad score" etc) but I'm feeling more than just a little worried about what this could do to my chances...come on, you know how you were your junior year!

Second, no, I don't think 4's will hurt you. But if you're really concerned, you're free to leave off the scores from your application -- you don't have to send your official CB score report or anything.

Yeah...I was pretty sure I was being paranoid (since the class I enjoyed most thoroughly this year was probably Chem and I don't regret it in the slightest) but I was still a bit worried. Yay! dances off to bed

What if it's the other way around. What if you get a B+ in a science class but sweep a 5 on the exam? My teacher is crazy. She gives super hard work, but when we take practice AP's, everyone in the class gets a 5. :( oO
