How important are AP scores in the application process for penn? Hopefully not very important. Anyone get in who took the tests but did poorly and did not report scores?

I got in early decision and I have never or will never take an AP test. And the only AP course that I have taken is AB Calc.

They can be to your benefit if you have good scores but if you have low scores it can be bad. Especially, if you took AP classes but didn't do well, it can often be construed negatively

Yeah, I got a 1 in AP Chem despite an A in the class...we have a very weak science department...an admissions rep called my college counselor to inquire about it, and she played it cool. I ended up getting in ED :-)

Does the common ap ask you to report AP scores?

I believe you can add your scores if you wish. They are never required.

I have the PDF of my submitted common app and I don't see anything about AP scores. However, some schools that have supplements to common app ask for APs. For next year, Penn probably will ask.
