I was wondering how important APs are to schools like Princeton. Are they looking for a specific number of 5's or is a list of 4's and 5's (AP Scholar w/ Distinction) ok? Thanks.

I think they really take into account what sort of school you go to. If you go to a school that only offers 5 AP classes, they’re not going to hold it against you for not taking that many. However, if you attend a school that offers 15 and you only took 2, that’s going to make you look bad. In general, they are definitely not looking for a specific number of APs (or 5’s or 4’s) but they want to see that you are at the top of your school and are a competitive candidate.
