i was wondering if anyone could tell me exactly how important athletics is in getting in to a college. I devote a lot of time to tennis, about 2 hrs a day and play many competitive tournaments. I hope to play for UPenn or Cornell but its not easy to make the team and i was thinking how much tennis would count for if i didn't actually get to play on the team. I know this is kind of a peculiar situation but it would help if i got some feedback.
P.S.- SAT score 2200
5's on 4 AP's, 3.95 GPA and decent other extracurriculrs

if you are recruitable and want to play in college, it makes a big difference. if it is something that you have devoted a ton of time to, but cant/dont want to play at the next level, it expresses passion and shows a side of your personality, but it wont help anymore than any other EC
