Wow nice, I will probably need aid and if visiting can increase that I can nudge out a weekend. If I may ask where I can find a website that has what colleges weight heavily on interest?

Look for links to the Common Data Set such as the sticky at the top of this “College Search & Selection” forum. Most colleges publish their responses to this questionaire, and one of the questions is about what weights they give various factors in admissions – including demonstrated interest.

thank you so much

I can’t say I know any. I’ve only figured out from visiting and speaking to admissions counselors

Re: Common Data Set. If the link is not available in the CC post, you can often find the CDS by simply googling the name of the school followed by Common Data Set. If the info is provided in excel, you want to go to tab C. If provided in PDF format, simply scroll down to section C7.

Visiting after Jr year is fine IMO. My 2 oldest did and it worked out ok. My D did re-visit after getting accepted, and my youngest applied and was accepted to a school that he did not visit.

Thanks for all your help. I’m going to put this in the other thread about the same topic.
