Importance of core classes for four years?

I’m a junior signing up for senior classes, and I don’t know if I should take a fourth year of Spanish or social studies.

Although I enjoy learning about the Spanish language, the teacher is easy but boring. This is why most people in Spanish 3 are unsure of Spanish 4.

For social studies, I have taken world history as a freshman, APUSH as a sophomore, sociology at a community college between soph and jr year, and am in civics and AP Econ this year. I am interesting in taking WHAP or AP Psych, but if I don’t take social studies and Spanish 4 I can fill up my schedule with AP Lit and AP Comp Sci A.

What do you think I should do? I would appreciate any help.

Also, is it worth taking a free period to fill out college apps?

Take the 4th Spanish. I took Spanish 4 last year (junior year) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Due to scheduling conflicts, I couldn’t continue with Spanish 5 this year. As for the extra social studies, I would recommend AP Psych. If you plan to have other APs in your schedule, AP Psych is one of the straightforward APs and easy to balance with a rigorous schedule. Although I prefer sociology over AP Psych, the latter is still an interesting class. From what I’ve heard, AP World is a harder class targeted at underclassmen. About the free period for college apps: it depends on how many schools you plan to apply to and their supplements.

I think you should take Spanish 4. I took that as a junior and I thought it was a great class! I’m currently in AP Spanish  Also, for the extra social studies, I highly recommend AP Psych (which I’m also currently taking). It’s an extremely fun class and you learn quite a bit of interesting things from it!! I agree with @Rachael2017 for the free period question.

thanks for the input!
