Im a senior.
w/out my freshman year, my cumulative GPA is a 3.5
with it, though, it is a weighted 3.27 unweighted 3.17
My SAT scores are cr 640 math 640 writing 620
i have taken 7 AP/honors classes throughout high school and i have massive EC's...
my #1 school, Bard, makes it clear that you have slim chance of acceptance if you don't have a 3.5. but in my interview, i explained my bad freshman year, that it was a hard transition blah blah blah...im really hoping that i see that i want to be there and that freshman year is really an outlier compared to my more recent work, but i don't know...
thoughts?

Schools understand that fr is often a transitional year, and some schools don't count it in your gpa. Next to 4 solid years, colleges look for an upward trend in grades. Make sure your mid-term grades sr year reinforce your improvement.

mhmmm that's what i thought, so do you think that more competitive schools probably DO look at it though?

As long as it shows an upward trend ie: Couple B's and a C fresh year to Mostly A's and a B here and there the following years.

yessssssssssss
