Hello guys I have a sat score 2040 which I think is pretty good score to get in good schools like some UCs,pennstatee
Etc. the problem I face is that of high school marks which are average but I still have some worries
My 10th std marks are overall 75% in gujarat board
My 11 th std marks are 74% but if you see all practicals!computer marks it's 80 but the problem is that I have 55 in physics
Will that be a problem in the admissions or will they see my overall score with all English ,computers and practicals

Will a sat subject test in physics help me ?

I have been doing alot of research, I have found that the US universities expect a better score from INDIAN State boards as compared to CBSE
They would look at your overall score and maybe that of the major you applied for. High school marks play an important role in determining the admission as that’s the only legit scores you have because they also know that 11th is something that prepares for 12th which you still have to give.
Sat subjects are not accepted by such schools, they are only required for Top universities like Cornell,MIT stuff.

U maybe ryt but cbse course might be better but the scoring pattern in state boards especially mine is different and is more tougher to score marks than cbse in cbse people get 95% up but not in our state board … And about sat subject tests university of California also requires sat subject test scores

Anyways m not targeting for MIT ,Stanford etc so was wondering that one bad physics score would make an impact on my application as my overall percentage is not that bad

And about your point about different scores for board I don’t agree on that I think it’s same for all as emailed to me by one of the university of California …actually being from a state board might be an advantage as most students applying are from cbse or icse your marks can directly be compared to others but from state boards hardly anyone applies to us

I am definitely putting my score above 80 in next term but was worried about my 11th first term in which I had a average score

Anyone can answer my question? Please
