For those accepted, did you interview? My daughter is very interested in Colby. However, my son was waitlisted despite showing a lot of interest, very high stats and great EC's. We had to travel quite some distance to visit Colby the first time, so based on his outocme, I would prefer not to visit again. Thanks.

Our daughter interviewed and was accepted, but it is indeed hard to know how much of a factor it was. She did feel particularly good about that interview, though, and I remember getting very positive vibes from the admission officer afterwards.
Conversely, she was also accepted to Bates, where she didn't interview, but where the interview is usually considered critical by the admission staff. But clearly not enough to influence the admission decision in her case.
A factor to keep in mind is whether your daughter feels strongly enough about the school to bother to interview: if she performs well in that sort of setting, it should help demonstrate interest, particularly in the face of the extra effort involved, as well as give her more information about the school.
