Hi! I was just wondering "how" important the interview is in the admissions process. I didn't have a bad interview or anything, but it wasn't amazing. I've heard a phenomenal interview can help a lot, but can just an okay interview hurt? Also, are the interviewer reports like teacher recs: all good but varying in degrees of goodness or are they honest (i.e. "I do not recommend this student for Harvard)? Just wondering...lol...Thanks!!!

I have a feeling the interview is more important for Harvard than they generally let on. But that's just me. I think that generally interviewers will not be wanting to 'weed' applicants out, and will only write average to good interviews, but I can imagine them wanting you out if you really ****ed them off or were just plain offensive or something. Maybe also if you seemed very unenthusiastic they might write something bad about you.
