Importance of SAT II Tests for UCs

I was wonder how detrimental subject tests are for an engineering major. My #1 school is UCSD and my #2 is UCI. I have a 4.36 UC GPA and a 31 on the ACT but I am concerned that I do not have subject tests under my belt (here is the rest of my statistics if it matters: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1713808-what-are-my-chances-for-uc-schools.html#latest). I understand that having no SAT IIs for engineering puts me at a handicap, but can my GPA make up for it? I also got a 4 on the ap physics b exam, but I have heard that ap tests are barely considered. Thanks in advanced!

Also: does getting a low score (low-mid 600s) have a negative impact on your application? Friend is applying to similar school as me as engineering too but got those scores.

I’m also wondering this, as I’m applying for engineering to UC’s, too, and I have subpar SAT IIs.

Something that reassured me a bit is that my sister got into UCLA engineering with a 660 Math Level 2 and a 530 Physics score. Still though, I fear low subject tests scores look bad

She got in with 530 in physics ?!? that’s like 20/75 raw score.

I am also applying to UC’s for engineering, and i’m not planning on sending anything below 700, even if that means sending nothing. I’d rather have them doubt on my skills, than having them see a bad score and know for sure.

@meriks‌ turns out it was actually 540, but that’s still super low. But yeah, she did. And because of that I believe low SAT II scores can’t destroy your chances.

@potatoman1010 what are your sat II scores if you dont mind me asking?
