Importance of SAT Scores

I’ve talked with multiple college admissions advisors and they’ve said my academic profile and extracurriculars/leadership activities are great, but my SAT/ACT scores could be a big weakness. I got a 202 on the SAT, 31 on the ACT and a 660 on the Math Level 2 Subject Test. Could those scores really drag me down? Do I really not have a chance at getting into UVA? I would really appreciate some feedback;I’ve been so stressed out about this because its too late to retake both of them. I don’t want to keep on worrying about this until April when I hear about the decision. I know a friend who got into UVA with an SAT score in the 1900’s and didn’t take subject tests either. But he’s a male and apparently male and female applications are separated from the beginning. Please give me some input!

The middle 50th percentile for the ACT at UVA is 29-33, for the SAT it’s 1870-2180. You pretty much fall in the middle. Are you in state? If you are, and you’re in the top 10% of your class, as well as actually having good to great ECs, you’ll be a competitive applicant.

VA resident? That’s probably the most important variable here.
