Importance of SAT subject tests?

<p>How important are SAT subject tests compared to the SAT reasoning test? How much will SAT subject tests at around 550 hurt someone who wants to go to UC Santa Cruz or UC Davis?</p>

<p>Well I'll be honest; that certainly won't help your case. However, since colleges generally only take into consideration the top 2 or 3 SAT II scores, hopefully you have other strong SAT II scores. Honestly...I think while SAT II scores are somewhat important, they are not as important as SAT I and certainly not as important as your GPA. Just try applying and hope for the best.</p>
