How crucial are is the SAT I mark for canadians wanting to go to an lower class ivy (brown) ?

If I for example have great ec's, awards (though not international level), gpa, AP marks, SAT II marks, recommendations, the whole package basically, except for a lousy SAT I score, how badly will this affect my chances of getting into brown?

My sat I score is around 2150 by the way if that helps for judgement.

hello blitz. firstly i wish u all the luck possible in getting into brown. But sat is important but not SO much important. good schools like brown, focus too much on the GPA and SAT II besides SAT I. there was someone in CC who had great sat I and sat II but he was rejected (goo ones) because of a low gpa. So if you have great ec's, awards (though not international level), gpa, AP marks, SAT II marks i wont think you will have any problem in getting in brown or univeristy like brown. But that they consider the most is your request for help. i dont know if brown is need-blind, but even if you request too much aid it will damage your chances very much. and at last dont worry too much about you satI it is quite good, but can you tell us exactly how they are math and cr

Or just put a lot of effort into other parts of the app, as well... Try to get at least a 1400+ or something...Maybe a 1350+ on the old scale. Unsure though, how the Writing score will tilt everything up...

dont leave anything to chance. just try getting a full score id say. thats one way of feeling secure and satisfied that they didnt reject you bcuz of your sat scores.

Rishabh i dont know why adcom will reject a candidate as wonderful as you I hope u did'nt miss some crucial info regarding apps like Mid year report certification of finances etc Best of luck to all intl'
