<p>I have 35 ACT, ranked 4/406, 4.0 GPA, taking 5 APs this year.
Just wondering competitiveness of Rice compared to an Ivy. My supp essay I'm writing today and probably won't be as strong as if I had started earlier.. how important would you think that essay is? To admission, and to scholarships?</p>
<p>probably will hurt you. Rice wants well rounded students and they would probably choose a student who has less “prestigous” stats than you but with great essays.</p>
