Important AP Physics B Question!!

So next year I am moving to an Austin, TX school... Physics is the Junior Year required science and I have either the choice of taking level Physics or AP Physics B. I have never taken a level class in my life, but I'm a bit nervous to take AP Physics B. I will be in pre-AP Pre-Calculus next year. Not sure if this is relevant, but Algebra is my big strength math-wise. I am planning on going into engineering.

Any words of advice are greatly appreciated.

If you’re in Pre-Calculus, AP Physics B should have nothing that you haven’t seen before as far as math goes. All you need is knowledge of some algebra and some fairly basic trigonometry.

I agree with Rob1995. I had math up to AP Calculus when I started taking AP Physics B and I didn’t do anything beyond algebra and basic trig (sin and cos mostly). Don’t worry about having taken Physics either. I didn’t take it and it’s manageable as long as you work hard and keep up.

Thank you both! Actually kind of getting excited for physics

Is that AP Physics B course yearlong for you guys?

Yup
